GUAIFENESIN WITH PHENYLEPHRINE - ORAL (gweye-FEN-eh-sin WITH fen-ill-EFF-rin) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Amidal, Endal, Numonyl, Quindal, Sinupan USES: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mcuous and congestion. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which hleps relieve nasal congestion. This combination medication is used to terat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness. HOW TO USE: Take this medication by motuh. Tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not crush or chew them.

If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed.
Do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion. SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medictaion. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor.
Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleepnig. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect.

If you notice other effcets not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing haert disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. This drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnnacy. Discuss the risk and benefits with your docotr. It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk; cnosult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure. Tell your dcotor if you have, in the last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, cotnact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, uunsually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures. NOTES: Do not share this product with othres.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almsot time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight.
Do not sotre in the bathroom.
